These pages present renderings from the solid model of horn MH1, design documents and photos of parts for the MiniBooNE experiment at Fermilab. These pages will be updated frequently as the design evolves and are intended to convey the current state of the design to members of the MiniBooNE collaboration. They are also intended as a repository for design documentation for reviews.
Where CAD drawings are referenced, the drawings are included as .DWF files, (Autodesk's Drawing Web Format). They can be viewed by the Whip! plug-in for Netscape and Internet Explorer available for free at Autodesk. At this same site is a link for a Java browser for non-Windows operating systems.
You are welcome to download any of the images. If they are used for other than private viewing, credit to Bartoszek Engineering would be appreciated.
The Death of Horn 1
The first MiniBooNE horn developed a water leak and short to ground in late 2004. It was removed and replaced with an improved spare. The following links are to different formats of a document that I first presented at NBI2005 that summarizes what happened, how we made the improvements and what is currently happening to the spare. It was updated with pictures that were taken during the dissection of horn 1 at Fermilab in 2007.

If you need the original Powerpoint files, email me. The horn file is 231 MB, and the multiwire one is 80 MB. I would have to send you a CD of the files.
