The T2K Horn 2 Main Page

Introduction

The T2K Horn 2 was built at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the summer of 2008. It was my privilege and pleasure to spend three weeks at Boulder helping to assemble the horn and get it ready for shipment to Japan. A couple of weeks later I went to Japan with Martin Tzanov of CU and did the final alignment of the horn structure to the existing striplines. We then connected the striplines so that the horn could be tested. After a design modification on the striplines of horns 2 and 3, the horns were installed in the target hall at Tokai.

On November 22, 2009, the first neutrino event was seen in a detector near the horns.
