The inner conductor for Horn 2 was made at Scot Forge in Spring Grove, IL. Scot has made almost all of the forgings I have designed for horns and I highly recommend them for aluminum forging.

This picture shows what a newly forged part looks like before rough machining.

This part is ready for shipping to the final machine shop. Scot does the rough machining because most shops do not want to deal with raw forgings. Cutting them produces a lot of wear and tear on a precision mill or lathe.
